Leertraject:
naar aanleiding van een vormconcept zoveel mogelijk werkstukken maken met zoveel mogelijk materiaal en technieken. De werkplaats op school, waar we alle technieken moeten leren, bevindt zich helaas in de ‘twilightzone’: alles wat je er doet duurt minstens vijf keer zo lang als thuis (of op de camping of met één arm). Maar je kunt niet zonder het advies en de hulp van de alleswetende werkplaatsmannen (die zuigen alle kennis uit lucht, je bent zelf ineens blanco), je bent u-ren aan het werk en dan heb je een staafje ijzer aan een ander staafje ijzer gesoldeerd (je denkt dan dat je kunt solderen, maar thuis valt het uit elkaar), dit proces gaat door tot je een doorbraak maakt en het tweeduister uitspringt met een paar geschikte formele studies onder de arm.

Learning route:
given a concept in shape, make as many pieces with as many materials as you can handle and use all the techniques you can master.The workshop where we have to learn all of this is currently stated in the twilightzone: which means that everything you do there is taking up five times as much of your time then when you do it at home (or on a campsite, or with one arm). The point is you can’t make anything without the overall knowledge of the workshopmen (the suck all the knowledge right out of the air and your own brain turns blank). Then you are working for hours and hours and at the end of the day you managed to have soldered one piece of iron to another piece of iron (then you think, well at least I can solder now, but no, when you come home it has already fallen apart). This whole process goes on and on and, you will get an epiphany and jump out of the twilightzone with some pretty decent studies under your arm.
